Eskom Warns of Increased Load-Shedding Due to Industrial Action

- In response to the threats of labour disputes and strike action at Eskom, the utility have released a formal statement warning that extended protests would cause operational disturbances and raise the risk of load-shedding across the country. Eskom warned that the increased unavailability of plant has necessitated an extensive usage of emergency generation reserves, which are depleting faster than can be replenished.
