0.875% Jul-33 Green Gilt

GILT AUCTION PREVIEW
  • The DMO will hold its first ever green auction this morning with GBP2.25bln of the long 10-year 0.875% Jul-33 gilt on offer.
  • This auction follows the two syndications held in September and October 2021 to launch the 0.875% Jul-33 green gilt and the 1.50% Jul-53 green gilt.
  • The launch of the 0.875% Jul-33 green gilt saw order books of GBP100bln with GBP10.0bln issued. The 1.50% Jul-53 green gilt saw order books of GBP74bln with GBP6.0bln issued.
  • Obviously, there have been substantial changes to bond markets since these syndications, but we would expect continued strong demand at today’s inaugural green auction.
  • Timing: Results will be available shortly after the auction closes at 10:00BST with a further GBP562.5mln available to successful bidders via the PAOF.
