10-Year Yield Pushes Off Lowest Level Since August

Ahead of the release of Retail Sales for February today (0130 GMT), the ACGB 10-year benchmark yield is 10bp higher at 3.29% after yesterday hitting 3.14%, its lowest level since August yesterday.

  • U.S. Tsys were weaker in NY trade with the 10-year yield +15bp at 3.53% after the bell. On Friday the 10-year yield achieved an intraday low of 3.28%, the lowest level since September, in the wake of another retreat in European bank stocks.
  • The AU/US 10-year yield differential is -4bp today at -23bp versus the cycle low of -32bp, set before global banking concerns in early March when the U.S. Tsy 10-year yield was above 4.0%.
