A US jobs report showing the resilience of the domestic economy to the ongoing
US government shutdown helped boost Treasury yields Friday, squashing any
expectations that the YTD lows of 2.5412 are to be tested in the near future.
Yield bulls need to recover the 21-dma, before shifting focus to the Jan 30 high
at 2.7330. A break above would allow a run at the 50-dma & 38.2% retracement at
2.8101/56. Bears are looking to build on recent downside momentum, targeting a
break of the Jan 4 ytd low at 2.5412. Below here would open the Jan 16 low at
2.5206, ahead of the 61.8% retracement level at 2.4900.
