2024 Kazakhstan Druzhba Supply to Germany Comparable to This Year

Kazakhstan Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev sees Druzhba pipeline crude-oil shipments to Germany in 2024 “comparable” to this year according to Bloomberg.

  • Shipment requests haven’t yet been submitted by Kazakhstan’s companies to Russian pipeline operator Transneft for 2024, Satkaliyev added.
  • Kazakstan pipeline operator KazTransOil sent 590k tons of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in Feb-Sep 2023 with another 100k tons set for October.
  • Kazakhstan expects to send 920k tons to Germany in 2023 with a technical capacity on the route of 1.2m tons per year with actual shipments depending on Kazakh oil producers according to KazTransOil.
