UK: A little Brexit news roundup from the last half hour:
- Hard-Brexiteers - the European Research Group - say they are not backing the
Brady Amendment, which would have forced the government back to Brussels to
renegotiate the Irish backstop. Makes it less likely PM May's "Plan B" will
pass, as unclear whether gov't will meet ERG's demand for a proper gov't
amendment clarifying next steps on the backstop.
- However, Telegraph's Steven Swinford reports "Those behind Cooper amendment
which requires Govt to extend A50 in event deal can't be reached say it is going
to be 'nail-bitingly close' tomorrow. They think it will come down to 'one or
two votes either way', which is why it matters if Govt can get Remain ministers
on board"
- Ladbrokes cuts odds of a March general election from 8/1 to 6/1
