OIL: A muted session for the major crude benchmarks overnight, with Brent & WTI
trading around $0.10 lower apiece at writing.
- Crude struggled on Thursday after the EIA reported a larger than exp. increase
in U.S. crude stockpiles & production, alongside declines in gasoline &
distillate inventories.
- Questionable global economic data also provided some weight on Thursday.
- Libyan tensions continue to draw attention, with the eastern Libyan forces
seizing the El Feel oilfield, which resulted in concern being expressed by the
country's NOC.
- Baker Hughes rig count data will draw attention on Friday.
