DOLLAR-YEN: A reported German name took USDJPY through Y113.00 with ease
overnight, the move accelerated to Y113.08 before profit take sales eased. The
USD held firm for the balance of the session and holds 5 pips either side of
Y113.00 into Europe. Key resistance seen at Y113.26/39 from the 200-wma and YTD
high (Jan8). Main highlights in the US today from Housing Starts & Building
Permits. Housing Starts (1230GMT) are expected to slow modestly to a 1.320
million annual rate in June after rising in May. The NAHB index fell to 68 in
June from 70 in May. As inventories remain tight, builders will likely find it
advantageous to boost output. The pace of building permits is expected to rise
to a 1.340 million rate from the unrevised 1.301 million rate in May.
