MARKET TALK
MARKET TALK: A slightly defensive feel to the start of the week, with e-minis
offered and T-Notes seeing light support as the U.S. COVID-19 picture continues
to dominate headline flow; with some delays in state re-opening plans,
advisories re: localised county-level shutdowns and the re-closure of bars
across Texas and Florida to the fore.
- Elsewhere, Sino-U.S. sabre rattling continues, while President Trump's
re-election bid is seemingly hanging by a thread (a couple of source reports
over the weekend noted that the President has admitted as much in private).
- Also worth re-flagging the continued plight of Facebook as big corporate names
continued to pull out of advertising via the social media giant over the weekend
(at least temporarily) as the political/social unrest in the U.S. continues to
gather steam.
