US TSYS
US TSYS: A technical error limited CME futures trade overnight, with T-Notes
subject to a quiet re-open after the technical glitches were smoothed out. Cash
trade has seen yields reverse their early downtick, and they now sit marginally
mixed on the day. News flow has been limited, with the aforementioned technical
issues limiting any real ebb & flow.
- Two notable lots of Tsy flow observed overnight:
- 04:24 02/27 GMT US TSY OPTIONS: TYJ9 123.00 calls 10.0K given at 0-15
- 05:01 02/27 GMT US TSY OPTIONS: Latest block lodged at 04:42:00 London,
23:42:00 New York, TYK9 122.00/121.00 put spread 10.0K blocked at 0-16
- The white and red Eurodollar contracts trade 0.25 tick lower to 1.0 tick
higher.
- Traders await the second half of Fed Chair Powell's testimony to congress
later today. Elsewhere a raft of data includes final durable goods, housing
starts, factory orders and advance goods trade balance. Worth remembering U.S.
TR Lighthizer is set to speak.
- T-Notes last 122.09+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 2.636%.
