A Touch Steeper

AUSSIE BONDS

The Aussie bond curve holds steeper vs. settlement levels, with YM -0.5 and XM -2.5, after the latter had a shallow, brief look below its SYCOM lows, before edging away from its Sydney trough.

  • Locally we learnt that Trade, Tourism and Investment Birmingham will replace outgoing Finance Minister Cormann, after the latter was nominated for the position of secretary-general of the OECD by PM Morrison.
  • Bills sit unchanged to 2 ticks lower on the day.
  • As we noted earlier, state budget releases will take focus over the coming days, while Friday will be headlined by the release of the AOFM's weekly issuance schedule, A$1.5bn worth of ACGB 0.25% 21 November 2025 supply & the latest round of monthly housing finance data.
