A Touch Steeper, Regional Risk Events Eyed

AUSSIE BONDS

Futures sit steeper on the day vs. settlement levels, with YM -0.5 and XM -2.0, in sympathy with moves in the Tsy space, although the latter has moved off its overnight lows in early Sydney trade. This XM price area has been used as a zone for longs to build in recent instances, but already long positioning may muddy that dynamic.

  • Bills sit unchanged to -2 through the reds.
  • A$2.5bn worth of ACGB 1.00% 21 November 2031 supply, RBA semi-government bond purchases and any impulses from across the Tasman in the wake of the RBNZ's latest monetary policy decision will be eyed today.
