BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: - A very quiet morning session with little top tier data and no
real notable headlines this morning.
- Treasury, Bund and JGB futures all largely unchanged at 122-10, 166.21 and
152.83 respectively with curves in the three countries all largely unchanged on
the day too.
- Gilts have bucked the trend with 2y and 10y yields up 1.4bp and 1.1bp on the
day respectively. The market continues to lean towards a slightly more
optimistic Brexit outlook, putting gilts on the backfoot. 30y yields have
remained a little more anchored and are unch. on the day.
- With the exception of BTPs (10y auction results have just been released), 10y
peripheral spreads to Bunds are marginally tighter on the day.
- The highlights for the rest of the day include US trade, pending home sales
and factory orders as well as Canadian CPI.
