DOLLAR: After a fairly quiet Asian session, the dollar ticked higher as Europe
began to get into the office this morning. The dollar briefly retraced its
morning gains following Bloomberg headlines that Trump and Xi had "agreed to
reach mutually beneficial agreements", however this move was reversed within 10
minutes. Oil was flat overnight.
- It is a fairly light data calendar in the US with the highlight consumer
confidence which is due for release at 15:00GMT.
- The only Fed speaker scheduled to meet today is Clarida, who's comments moved
markets last time he spoke.
