BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: After a risk-off Asian session on the back of continued concerns
about global trade, core bonds moved higher on the open and some fairly
disappointing Eurozone confidence data, particularly from Germany has helped
bonds continue their gradual moves higher.
- Voting is underway in the European elections but the main story in the UK
remains when May will resign. ITV have reported that the 1922 Committee voted on
changing the rules to allow a confidence vote to be held earlier than December
to force May outa but that the votes were cast in sealed envelopes. The
envelopes will only be opened if May has not resigned by Friday.
- TY1 futures are up 0-7 today at 124-21 with 10y UST yields down -2.0bp at
2.363% and 2y yields down -2.5bp at 2.199%.
- Bund futures are up 0.33 today at 167.05 with 10y Bund yields down -1.7bp at
-0.104% and Schatz yields down -0.8bp at -0.643%.
- Gilt futures are up 0.42 today at 129.47 with 10y yields down -2.2bp at 0.992%
and 2y yields down -1.5bp at 0.670%.
