US TSYS SUMMARY: After a sharp move lower in Asia-Pac hours, Tsys began to find
their footing in European trading, and remain slightly higher on the session as
equities have been under recurring pressure.
- Mar 10-Yr futures (TY) up 3.5/32 at 129-01 (L: 128-25 / H: 129-01.5); curve a
little flatter. S&P E-minis off 0.2%; no obvious trigger for risk-off.
- NY Fed set to release updated bill buying & repo schedule for the next month.
No timing given; previous announcements have been between 1100-1500ET (the
latter time includes the Nov 12th announcement for ops through today, Jan 14).
- December CPI data out at 0830ET: core M/M seen at 0.2% (0.2% prior), Y/Y at
2.3% (2.3% prior).
- NFIB optimism printed prior to release time; 102.7 in Dec vs 104.6 Est.
- NY Fed's Williams speaks in London at 0900ET, with KC's George giving her
assessment of the econ/monpol outlook for the first time in 2020 at 1300ET.
- Unlike Williams, George is a non-2020 FOMC voter; non-voters Rosengren &
Bostic had little impact on markets with their hawkish-leaning comments Monday.
