US DATA PREVIEW: --After an unexpected slowdown in retail sales seen in
September, October's forecasts look more optimistic. 
--Sales are expected to bounce in October, with analysts looking for a gain of
0.4% m/m for overall sales, recovering from September's unusually low -0.3%. 
--Fuelled by low gas prices, gasoline sales are expected to post enough upside
to offset lackluster apparel sales.
--The core measure has remained relatively stable, and is expected to return to
an average of 0.2%, implying a solid consumer base.
