BOND SUMMARY: After Trump yesterday ramped up his tariff threat on China, news
this morning has emerged that Chinese Vice Premier He will visit the US
Thurs-Fri this week. There have been little other major news stories moving
markets this morning with continued UK political headlines largely being ignored
for now while German factory orders have been the stand out data release,
failing to rebound as much as the consensus had hoped for.
- Moves in bond markets have been rather muted so far this morning with little
on the US calendar to excite. JOLTS and speeches from the Fed's Kaplan and
Quarles are the highlights.
- TY1 futures are up 0-6 today at 123-26 with 10y UST yields up 0.4bp at 2.475%
and 2y yields down -0.5bp at 2.287%.
- Bund futures are up 0.33 today at 165.77 with 10y Bund yields down -2.0bp at
-0.15% and Schatz yields down -0.5bp at -0.604%.
- Gilt futures are up 0.33 today at 127.26 with 10y yields down -3.3bp at 1.185%
and 2y yields down -1.9bp at 0.770%.
