POWER: Altea Green Power Received Greenlight for 200MW BESS in Italy

Italy’s Altea Green Power Spa has received the greenlight from the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) for the development of a 200MW BESS project in Genzano di Lucania, southern Italy, according to Renewablesnow. 

  • The project includes two BESS with each 100MW of capacity.
  • The authorization process is part of the agreement signed in July 2022 with the Irish group Aer Soléir to co-develop 510MW of BESS projects.
  • The firm gave no timeline on the project.
