AMLO Announces Pacific Alliance Meeting Cancelled

  • Mexico President Lopez Obrador informed reporters that the Pacific Alliance meeting that was scheduled to occur in Mexico has been cancelled as Peru’s president, Pedro Castillo, was not permitted to travel to attend.
  • Mexico will now hold bilateral meetings with Ecuador’s Guillermo Lasso and Colombia’s Gustavo Petro, however, Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Argentina’s Alberto Fernandez will not travel to Mexico
  • AMLO indicated they are still looking into potentially holding a meeting in Peru.
