AMLO to Present Latest Stage of Inflation-Targeting Measures

  • COLOMBIA: President Petro has spoken in favour of changing the country’s medium-term fiscal plan in order to allow for the purchase of farmland as part of a 2016 deal being pursued by the oversight commission. Current fiscal plans look for a cutting of Colombia’s fiscal deficit to 3.6% of GDP next year from 5.6% in 2022, thereby reducing government debt to 55% of GDP by 2024 from 61% last year.
