  • Preparations for the G20 presidency started in Johannesburg yesterday, with the agenda to focus on debt relief, climate aid and artificial intelligence.
  • In an effort to bolster South Africa’s status as a regional financial hub, a group of executives are drafting proposals to allow FX transactions across the bond and stock exchanges in the country. The efforts are part of the South African Financial Sector Competitiveness Taskforce.
  • Data due today includes SACCI business confidence, mining production stats and the manufacturing production release for October.
