US TSYS/RESEARCH: And BMO's Ian Lyngen also added that US 10-year yields "spent
most" of Monday "between 2.37% and 2.32%, with volume gaps at 2.371% and 2.283%
bookending trading activity for the nearby levels. We're in the very middle of
that range with 2.308% a volume bulge over the last month, highlighting an area
of minor support and resistance. 2.32% remains the stronger level however and a
cross there could see a test of 2.25% once the volume gap at 2.283% is filled.
Momentum has moved into oversold territory for the 10-year UST but hasn't
crossed bullishly yet, offering less in the way of an imminent momentum trade."
- He adds that "we're sticking with a neutral call for now as the technicals and
fundamentals are at odds with one another."
