Angolan LNG Cancels Two Upcoming Tenders

LNG

Angola LNG has cancelled two upcoming tenders for April delivery as loading issues restrict production according to Kpler.

  • The plant experienced a pressure surge in the loading line and is operating at reduced rates, resulting in reduced operating rates at its 5.2 mtpa LNG plant in Soyo.
  • Kpler data shows since January, Angola LNG shipped 0.95 mt of LNG, or 14 cargoes, with all but one cargo delivered to Europe. France and the UK took four cargoes each, Netherlands took two cargoes. Germany received one cargo, and Spain is due to receive its cargo on Apr. 7.
  • The cancellation of the cargoes has had little impact on European gas prices which are trending downwards towards the tail end of the European heating season.
