US TSYS SUMMARY
US TSYS SUMMARY: Another busy session for Treasuries with volumes in the 10 yr
running at 114% above 5 day Moving averages.
-Early price action saw Treasuries fading of their bids from yesterday's session
during overnight Asian hours, given various policy measures and research into
Covid 19. Shallow case counts out of China.
-This was quickly reversed during our London session with Govies once again
extending gains pushing long end yields back to low levels from October 2016.
-More cases in South Korea, as well as more spread in Iran, Kuwait and Iraq,
without forgetting the Italian cases and contagion risk at the forefront for
Europe.
-Global contagion lock down and in turn global growth concerns, pushes Investors
and market participants to favour less risky assets and pour onto safer grounds.
-US 10yr Yield trades at 1.365% at the time of typing with the all time low seen
at 1.3180% (still a way to go)
