Aquila Eyes 124MW Spanish Wind Cluster

German-based firm Aquila Clean Energy has inched closer to commissioning its 123.9MW wind cluster project in southern Spain, after having entered into a turbine supply agreement with Nordex, according to the supplier.

  • The wind cluster will become fully operational in 2026, with turbine deliveries starting from the summer of 2025.
  • The project will be located in Granada and Nordex will supply 21 turbines – with the option of increasing it to 24 if exercised before 31 August 2024.
