Argentina’s Enarsa Awards LNG Tender: Platts

Argentina’s state-run Enarsa awarded its second LNG tender of 2024 to two companies, with one securing nine cargoes, according to Platts.

  • Bidders in the tender included: Glencore, Total, Trafigura, PetroChina, BP, Gunvor, and Vitol.
  • The cargoes were awarded at a premium to the TTF hub price.
  • The tender, which closed on Apr. 23 after deferring it by one week, was for 10 cargoes for delivery across June-August
  • Partial cargoes each of 2.1t btu were requested.
  • Argentina’s first LNG imports of 2024 arrived at the Escobar terminal Apr. 23, Platts added.
  • The arrival of the cargo had been delayed, having previously been scheduled for Apr. 20. Local press suggested that the delay was at the request of Enarsa.
