Argentina’s Enarsa Could Buy Spot LNG in 2-3 Weeks

Argentina’s state energy company Enarsa could issue its next import tender for southern hemisphere winter within the next 2-3 weeks, according to Bloomberg, citing traders.

  • Enarsa already bought 10 cargoes for delivery from April-July which went to Glencore and Total.
  • LNG imports into Argentina this year are expected to fall amid the start-up of the Nestor Kirchner pipeline linking its shale reserves to key industrial demand centres.
  • Argentina’s winter period runs from April-August.
