Asia Diesel Loadings to Europe on Track for Record

Asia’s exports of ultra-low-sulfur diesel to Europe are on track to reach a record this month, Kpler data show.

  • Europe will receive around 1.3mn tons of the fuel from Asia, particularly from India, China and Malaysia.
  • India has already shipped the bulk of the volume at over 1mn tons, while China is expected to load another 190k tons this month.
  • Europe is also likely to receive two diesel cargoes from New York this month according to Bloomberg vessel tracking. New York is typically short on diesel and relies on imports from Europe and Canada. But it has been a net exporter each month since July, Kpler data show.
