Asia Mfg PMIs Due This Week

August Official PMIs and Caixin Mfg PMI from China, as well as Asian Mfg PMIs headline an otherwise light docket in Asia this week.

  • China - The local docket is empty until Thursday when the Official PMIs for August are due, Mfg PMI is expected to lower marginally lower to 49.1 and Non-Mfg PMI to 51.0. On Fridat August Caixin MFg PMI rounds off the weeks data, the measure is expected to hold steady at 49.2.
  • South Korea - On Thursday July Industrial Production is due to cross. Friday's August Trade Balance and S&P Global Mfg PMI round off the docket.
  • Taiwan - August S&P Global Mfg PMI on Friday headlines the docket, on the wires today we have the July Monitoring Indicator.
  • Singapore - There is a thin data calendar this week with just July M1 and M2 Money Supply due.
  • India - On Thursday Q2 GDP crosses an uptick to 7.8% Y/Y from 6.1% is expected. S&P Global Mfg PMI for August rounds off the docket on Friday.
  • Thailand - The docket is empty until Thursday when July Capacity Utilization and Trade Balance cross. On Friday we have Aug S&P Global Mfg PMI and Business Sentiment as well as weekly Foreign Reserves due.
  • Malaysia - Aug S&P Global Mfg PMI on Friday is the only data due this week.
  • Philippines - July Budget Balance and Bank Lending is due at some point this week before Thursday's close. Aug S&P Global Mfg PMI rounds off the week's data on Friday.
  • Indonesia - The only data of note this week is on Friday when Aug S&P Global Mfg PMI and Aug CPI cross.
