STOCKS: Asia-Pacific equities have moved lower, following the cratering on Wall
St. Tuesday, although warmer rhetoric from China re: trade matters has likely
limited losses across the region, while U.S. equity index futures trade higher
at writing, albeit back from best levels observed following the risk-positive
comments from MOFCOM.
- The Nikkei 225 trades around 1.0% lower at writing, while China's CSI went
into the lunch break 0.1% worse off, well back from lows.
- Elsewhere the Hang Seng finished the morning session 1.6% lower, while the ASX
200 lost 1.1%.
- As a reminder U.S. equity index futures will experience an abbreviated session
Wednesday, with cash equities closed as the U.S. observes a national day of
mourning following the death of former President George H.W. Bush.
