DOLLAR: Asset Managers Turn USD Negative
Surveys of short term market participants suggest that although there has been a
scaling back of positions, overall the market remains long USD(CFTC data). 
A far more bearish picture appears to be developing with longer term investors'
outlook for the USD. 
The I&PE survey of asset managers expectations (6 to 12 month views) shows that
sentiment towards the USD has been deteriorating since the early 2017 bullish
peak.
The latest readings for December show that sentiment has turned USD negative for
the first time in the current cycle.
Bearish USD sentiment has been developed against EUR, JPY and GBP, with
bearishness against the EUR leading the way.
