Attention on Global Risk Events Amid Thin Local Slate

  • There is very little in the way of notable domestic newsflow both this morning and over the past weekend. Given the empty data slate in Hungary for the remainder of the week, attention will turn to the major global risk events (Fed, BoJ). The NBH meet next on Mar 26.
  • For EURHUF, bullish conditions remain intact with latest pullback considered corrective. The cross delivered a fresh trend high last week, signalling scope for an extension towards the 400.00 handle and key resistance at 402.45, the Mar 20 2023 high. Initial firm support lies at 392.97, the 20-day EMA, ahead of the 50-day EMA at 389.33.
