The RBI will sell four lines via auction on March 5 for a total INR 310bn, results due after 0930GMT/1500IST

    • INR 30bn 3.96% 2022
    • INR 120bn 5.15% 2025
    • INR 120bn 5.85% 2030
    • INR 40bn FRB 2033
  • The government has the option to increase issue size by INR 20bn for each line.
  • Last week's auctions were taken down with some help from underwriters, while this indicated weak demand at the auction, it could serve to support future auctions by providing a market clearing level for bonds, giving greater confidence to participants, The action boosted expectations the central bank may offer higher yields at future offerings.
