  • AUD/NZD finished Thursday's session down 0.25% at 1.0832. The cross is now 1% lower post the hawkish RBNZ and we are now testing the 200-day EMA. The 14-day RSI continues to drop now hovering just over sold territory at 33, while MACD indictor is showing increasing red bars.
  • Looking at technicals, initial resistance is 1.0855 (100-day EMA), while we are trading right on initial support this morning (200-day EMA) a break here would see us target 1.0800 (round number support) to trade back in the middle of recent ranges.
  • The AU-NZ 2Y swap is 6bps lower at -82.5bps.
  • Option expiries: 1.0900 ($200m) May 23 NY cut, upcoming notable strikes include 1.1000 ($100m) May 24, 1.0825 ($101.62m) May 24.
