AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD pushed higher in yesterday's Asia-Pac session, after
Westpac said they expect the RBNZ to bring the OCR into negative territory in
November. The rate topped out at NZ$1.0752 as London traders started to get in.
It eased off thereafter, but still finished the day 27 pips better off.
- The rate currently sits at NZ$1.0706, a handful of pips lower on the day.
Bears need a fall through Apr 23 low of NZ$1.0585 to get some reprieve.
Meanwhile, wider outlook remains bullish and topside focus falls on yesterday's
high of NZ$1.0752. Above there opens the NZ$1.0800 mark.
- New Zealand reported in-line March trade data earlier today and the kiwi was
unfazed. Focus turns to Australia's Q1 CPI, due within two hours.
