AUSSIE-KIWI
AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD shed 27 pips and last deals at NZ$1.0724, with the kiwi
sitting atop the G10 pile. NZ dollar had already been bid before BNZ raised
their milk price forecast for 2019/20, allowing the kiwi to cling onto its
earlier gains. Elsewhere, RBA Gov Lowe spoke in NY/Asia crossover, noting that
negative interest rates are "extraordinarily unlikely" in Australia.
- Bears would like to see the pair extend losses through the 23.6% retracement
of the Aug 6 - Sep 20 rally at NZ$1.0704. Several highs and lows were printed
around this level through Sep & Oct. Below opens the Oct 16 weekly trough/50-DMA
at NZ$1.0686/81. Bulls look for a bounce above yesterday's high of NZ$1.0793 and
the round figure of NZ$1.0800.
