AUSSIE: AUD/USD gained altitude on Wednesday, the move seemed driven by
broad-based greenback weakness. USD traded on a softer footing as U.S. equity
benchmarks managed to eke out some gains. Elsewhere, participants assessed
familiar factors as global economic calendar was relatively light.
- The rate holds steady at $0.6982 this morning. Bulls would be pleased by a
rally above Jul 6 high/round figure of $0.6998/0.7000, which would open up Jun
10 high of $0.7063. Bears need a break below Jun 30 low of $0.6833 before
targeting Jun 22 low of $0.6805.
- Australia's housing finance data comes out today, China's inflation figures
will also be closely watched.
