*Aussie opened in Asia toward the upper side of Monday's $0.7911 to $0.7951
range, where softer US rate yields and firmer base metals gave the antipodean
the upper hand.
*Demand reportedly from Aussie-yen gave the Aussie a lift higher from the
mid-$0.7930's to a top of $0.7951. Ore prices were also seen lending support,
Dalian ore futures opened higher and initially extended gains by 3.5%.
*Firmer US rate yields then encouraged dollar demand, the rate eased from around
$0.7950 to $0.7935
*For the balance of the session the Aussie traded sideways in a $0.7935-43 range
*Hourly support is located at $0.7932/33, a break opens $0.7911 (Aug21 low),
while resistance is noted at $0.7951, which marks both intraday high and Aug21
top.
