broader risk sentiment overnight. YM last +1.0 tick, XM unch., YM/XM trades at
47.5 ticks, with the cash equivalent at 43.8bp.
- The RBA's SoMP headlines the domestic docket today, with participants on the
lookout for any hints of an easing bias after the fairly neutral statement
issued alongside the unchanged decision on Tuesday. Many have argued that the
Bank's economic projections do not paint a consistent picture re: its view that
the labour market will do the heavy lifting.
- Western Australia released its budget late Thursday, with most analysts
highlighting that the fiscal outlook for the state was aided by mining royalties
& GST top ups, allowing a projected budget surplus, which if realised, would be
the first such instance in 5 years.
- Bills trade unchanged to 2 ticks higher through the reds.
- The ongoing U.S.-China trade talks ahead of the impending tariff increase will
likely dominate broader flows throughout the session.
