AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie bond futures sit a touch below last Thursday's SYCOM
closing levels, but still operate a touch above settlement after the extended
holiday weekend.
- YM last trades +0.5 tick, with XM +1.5 ticks. YM/MX trades at 51.0 ticks, with
the cash equivalent at 46.9bp.
- Bills trade unchanged to 1 tick higher through the reds.
- The AFR has reported that the Australian PM will "today pledge to help create
250,000 new small businesses over the next five years." This comes ahead of the
federal elections, with the government set to seed the fund with A$100mn.
Estimates suggest that that the fund could grow to A$1bn as it matures.
- Focus today falls on the aforementioned ACGB coupon payments, with CPI data,
due tomorrow, headlining the domestic docket this week.
