AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie bonds are slightly weaker today, following in the footsteps
of US markets, with the 10-year future continuing its steady decline from
yesterday's peak to trade at 97.41 currently. A close below 97.40 today would
strengthen the case for a bearish reversal.
- The 3-year future is outperforming, trading flat on the day at 97.60 after
recovering its opening losses.
- The 3s-10s spread has risen 1.5bps on the day from 2-week lows to trade at
55bps.
- The AU-US 10-year spread has edged down 1.6bps to -29.6bps, continuing its
long-term decline. The AU-US real 10-year spread trades largely unchanged at
-1.9bps.
