AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie bonds seeing a bit of a sell off early in the Asia session.
moving alongside US tsys which are also at session lows but just inside the
range from Wednesday.
- Aussie yields up across the curve, seeing some steepening again after
narrowing at the start of the week. Aussie debt coming under more selling
pressure with US debt supported by geopolitical concerns and debt ceiling
tensions. AU/US 10-Year spread now at the widest levels since May 2016 at
58.2bp.
- Should be a busier session for Aussie assets today; China release official PMI
data, following by Australian capex data. This is followed by a speech from RBA
deputy head of financial market infrastructure Harris at the Risk Australia
Conference.
