*Rate was then pressured lower largely on the back of the softer kiwi following
the trimming of NZ's growth and budget surplus forecasts by the government, the
pair dropped sharply to $0.7883
*Aussie briefly touched $0.7900 after President Trump's threat of a government
shutdown, but sellers were quick to emerge and the rate held just off its daily
low into Europe
*As kiwi sales started to pressure, aussie ground out a fresh low of $0.7882 but
lacked follow through
*Consolidation remained the theme for the balance of the session, trade largely
held between $0.7885-95
*On the downside local corporate demand is seen at $0.7875. Resistance at
$0.7918/24 (Asia high, 21-dma).
