*Persistent dollar demand witnessed the aussie under pressure in Europe, rate
touched $0.7804 before stalling ahead of support from the Asia low. As NY
entered the fray, the pair received a lift towards $0.7820.
*In a very subdued session, the pair drifted lower, as XAU remained under
pressure following the victory of Prime Minster Abe with the rate dropping
towards $0.7805.
*The aussie dropped further as commodities fell, with the rate breaking the
resistance at $0.7800, stops were triggered printing fresh lows of $0.7796.
*After printing fresh lows of $0.7796, the rate pared back some of
its losses, as gold clawed back to flat on the day with the rate grinding
towards $0.7810.
*As the dollar received a lift following Trump's comments that he is very, very
close to naming the next Fed chair, the rate dropped back towards the session
lows of $0.7796.
