ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has advanced 27 pips so far and last deals at Y81.96 after
closing ~20 pips higher Tuesday. The rate has been supported by risk on flows
triggered by news flow re: Sino-U.S. trade relations, with Huawei CFO Meng
granted bail, which was followed by comments from U.S. President Trump saying he
might intervene to block Meng's extradition to the U.S. if this could facilitate
a trade deal.
- There was little reaction to lower tier Aussie & Japanese data releases
earlier in the session.
- Bulls eye the 21-DMA at Y82.22 before shifting focus to the Dec 6 high at
Y82.32. On the downside, bears look for a move through the 200-DMA at Y81.87,
which would open up Y81.24/23/22 representing yesterday's low/the 50-DMA/the
100-DMA.
