ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has ticked higher, taking out yesterday's best levels, as
light risk-off flows have crept into G10 FX space. Not much in the way of
headline and data flow, apart from preliminary readings of CBA PMIs, all three
of which recovered markedly this month. The spot last sits +19 pips at Y74.05.
- A move through Jun 16 high of Y75.09 is needed to bring the recent cycle peak
(Jun 8 high of Y76.79) into view. Bears look for a pullback under Jun 12 low of
Y72.53 & the 200-DMA at Y72.27.
- Flash Jibun Bank PMIs are due out of Japan later in the day, with preliminary
trade balance coming up in Australia.
