Austria updated 2022 issuance plan

EUROZONE ISSUANCE

Austria has updated its issuance plans for 2022:

  • It has increased its total issuance plans to E67-69bln from E60-65bln (comprising RAGB, ATB, ACPs, EMTN, loans).
  • It now plans RAGB issuance of around E44bln (up from around E40bln previously).
  • No more syndications are planned for 2022.
  • Short-term debt-instruments outstanding at end-2022 now planned at a minimum of E22bln (up from minimum E18bln).
  • The Austrian Treasury notes that "This follows the budgetary speech of our Federal Minister of Finance in Parliament on October 12. This also included an updated deficit forecast for this year, which is largely impacted by government’s support measures to address the energy crisis."
  • Austria's 2023 issuance plans will be published on 14 December.
