GILT AUCTION RESULTS
  • The price of the 4.125% Jan-27 gilt fell marginally after the publication of the auction results, moving back below the LAP of the auction, although at the time of writing we are back in line with the LAP of 109.276.
  • The auction tail was the same as last month's 0.5bp and the bid-to-cover was a little higher despite the auction being for the slightly larger amount of GBP3.75bln (versus GBP3.5bln).
  • All-in-all an average-to-decent auction.
