Azerbaijan to Sign LNG Supply Deal with Pakistan

Azerbaijan will sign a long-term LNG import agreement with Pakistan July 24, according to Azer news.

  • Azerbaijan will offer one cargo per month at the world’s cheapest spot price available that day, which must also be lower than the 30-day average of LNG indices.
  • Pakistan will have the right to reject a cargo without explanation and can reject all 12 cargoes over a one-year period.
  • However, Azerbaijan will remain obliged to continue offering one cargo per month.
